Interesting shift between this and the last drawing of yours with a character called "Clambus"

Are they related or did you happen to accidentally give them the same name?

yeah I wanted to do another clam guy that was just way more interesting. the name just sounded so funny to me that I had to use it again.

Thought I recognised this dude and sure enough, here he is:
https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/jouste/red-hot-poker
Hasn't changed much. I like his new fire collar thing though, that's pretty rad.
yeah I wanted to bring him into the newer set up. the front and back and I thought I could also do a better job on the dagger designs.

Very nice. I enjoy the way the rope looks. Is it a taught sword arm or a taut one though?
damn it. you are right lol. didn't notice that one and wrote it in a rush. Good eye.

Hey I remember this guy:
https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/jouste/starspade-the-all-scoop
Some pretty noticeable changes here. New eye situation, a change in backpack, and he generally looks noticeably less mechanical. Good stuff, though (and this may be nostalgia of some sort) I personally prefer the previous iteration.
yeah the last one has a lot more detail but took too long as I go for speed here. you have a great memory and thanks for bringing the classic up from the depths of time!

Famous helicopter PsychoGoldfish was supposed to have a Newgrounds logo on the side but that got lost in the edit. Anyway, good job, man, it was nice having you.
Thanks, i was kinda worried if i was pissing you off lol, it was really cool working woth you huys
oh :/

I've become some kind of jouste journalist now it seems, and oh boy this design is older than I thought:

Wild seeing the evolution on this one, especially since your artstyle was so different in 2009. Arms have gotten real thin since then, but I wonder what ever happened to that coat of leaves in the 2017 version. Come to think of it, that's the only one with a bird's nest too, so does it vary with the seasons perhaps?
Anyway about the piece itself, your style is excellent as always though the back leg on the front perspective looks maybe kinda janky to me, but that's the only criticism I've really got.
Edit: By the way, this is your 420th art submission, congrats my dude.
whoah 420? crazy! appreciate the journalism! I think it's a lot more common for people to never have seen the ideas or forgot when I posted them. I really like how you remember everything so well. This guy has been visited again and again for sure.

Remembered this one, had trouble finding it:
https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/jouste/major-harrier-and-the-teen-champions
Seems there've been some name changes since then. And some design changes since then. All around quite a bit of change over the last three years. I like how much more damaged this one looks than the previous iteration.
yeah I wanted it to be a little more consistent and obvious damage. The other one was a little too internalized but I really do like the piece. Great memory!

That crown looks dangerous being where it is :/
he can regenerate pretty quick so he'll probably be ok. and they need to bring the crown so people know who he is!

Sometimes I wish you'd link your previous versions* when doing these revisits because on this one I really second-guessed myself when thinking I'd seen him before. Interesting how little this one has changed since then. Also interesting how my past self apparently really thought there was any issue with the wings doing through the engines. Don't really have anything to say except that of all your concepts this is probably still the most wild and out there. A bird, flying? Come now, I like a bit of fantastical liberty but that's stretching it.
*The previous version in question for anyone curious: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/jouste/ayr-byrd
hey good eye!
I actually used to do it all the time but I kind of am going for a leaner approach with these new passes. I think that the design was so strong it didn't really need an update and I wanted to get him fresh in my mind. I guess it was over 3 years ago when I drew this guy. Crazy!

No, you specifically used the terminology React Addict. That is entirely stemming from my thread about you.
