Fun romp most of the way through, once you get the feel of things. I don't get how I'm supposed to fight Zeus though. Like you can beat him by just spamming the parry since at that point your energy's regenerating on its own but that doesn't feel like it's the intended solution. And if I don't do it I don't really see how I'm meant to guess when his attacks land, since it doesn't really seem to coincide with the circle and they can still hit me regardless of the tile I'm standing on. Seems like something's gone wrong there. Good game on the whole, though.

I like it a lot, generally speaking. It's a simple and pretty fun spin on the match 3 puzzle game format, and the art and writing are charming. I often find myself robbed of achievements due to connection failures and I'm happy that the arcade mode has checkpoints to prevent this from being a massive problem.

Gonna have to dock a star for some frustrating gameplay issues though. Chiefly, I think Waha starts walking too quickly after I press the arrow button. Many times now I've wanted to pick something up and then walked on top of it, had to walk back to a position I could pick it up from, and on occasion repeated the process before getting to finally move it where I wanted it. When I'm pressed for time this gets very frustrating. Maybe having some kind of stand still button could ameliorate this without slowing down movement when not needed. Secondly there's a glitch where if I'm walking under the falling block as it falls it can get stuck suspended in the air, where I can't pick it up but it can still be the thing to kill me because the spikes lower onto it. I can give it its gravity back by creating a pillar tall enough to reach it and walking underneath it but this is once again quite annoying when I'm pressed for time. Hopefully these things can get ironed out in future.

Also, sorry to hear about the Unity thing. That's gotta be frustrating.

Look mum there I am.

I do enjoy this quite a bit but I don't think I can quite give it full marks for two main reasons:
-As you get bigger the punishment for hitting any of the stage obstacles increases to something proportional to your size from the looks of things. I think this is fine in principle as it takes some of the chaos out of the map in the face of what one might consider evidence that the place is too chaotic, but the associated candle punishment ultimately means you get punished more harshly for hitting something when it's harder to avoid, which ends up feeling unfair.
-When you hit the horizontal direction opposite to where you're going the snake moves up first before responding, and when you do so with vertical directions it moves left first. There appears to be some kind of danger detector in place though which sometimes means you don't move where you expected to and all too often you end up running into another obstacle as a result of the game trying to save you, and because you weren't focusing on that area you don't have time to respond. I'd much prefer to live with my mistakes, personally, than not know what's going to happen when I push an arrow key.
Other than that it's good. I like the aesthetic of all of your games and this one's no different, and when I'm not running into these issues I'm a big fan of the feel of this. Adding a jump button to Snake was an inspired move.

It's a fun game, even if my laptop will only put up with about half an hour of gameplay before putting up a protest. I like how most of the characters handle, excepting the two farthest to the right on the select screen who both feel a bit sluggish to me, but that's a matter of taste. A couple of things have hampered my enjoyment somewhat with what I've played:
-There's that second loading screen after the main loading screen. Occasionally the game skips over it and I'm left with the game being technically functional but the only visuals being the menus on a yellow background. Happened while I was writing this review, funnily enough.
-Nene's knives don't seem to register on her combo counter and I'm not sure if that's deliberate or not but it definitely feels weird since other characters' projectiles (Hank being foremost in my thoughts since he made that highest combo rating challenge very easy indeed) do register. She's otherwise my favourite character to play and this makes keeping her Rush active feel quite a bit harder than it needs to be, though I'll concede maybe there's some wisdom I'm missing.
-This one feels like it's maybe out of your hands but if I have a dip in connection and then get a score I'm proud of the game doesn't seem to want to save it even after my connection comes back. I haven't so far gotten the speedrunner time at any point but I imagine if I did and then that happened that I would be on a warpath.
It's still good, though. If I had to put a suggestion up (though I'm missing one assist so maybe I'll have to reprise this one) it would be Tarboy, as I think being the star of that submission that was almost invariably at the top of the Best of All Time list for like a decade is undeniably quite the mark on the site.

Spagato responds:

Thanks for the feedback!

Nene's knives not keeping her combo up is actually a bug. Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix that in a future update.

Has a whiff of the Getting Over It on it with a highly cumbersome movement system and potentially harrowing consequences for slipping up. Wonder what a speedrun would look like. I'm not sure if something was supposed to happen after the credits or not; I would assume a return to the menu but it was silent for a little while and didn't show signs of that, but maybe my instinct to check if the the medals worked kicked in too quickly idk. Voice acting in the opening cutscene was a little bit sketchy but it's forgivable. All in all, cool game.

Miroko responds:

I will not be pursuing a voice acting career in the near future for sure lol
Glad you beat and enjoyed it!

Missed yesterday's present because the content was supposedly unfinished in the morning and I forgot to come back later. Seething. Merry Christmas.

love it, good job guys :)

good job guys. thought i'd have something more substantial to say but it turns out i'm dumb and can't think of anything so there you go.

I don't have very much to say about this one. It's simple, well-made and looks nice, so good job on that. Wasn't particularly hard, though there were occasional bits of frustration. I couldn't figure out level 13. My guess was that I'd have to get one of the bubble things to chase one of the houses and hold down one of the buttons but I couldn't get that to happen despite something to the effect seemingly happening later on so maybe something was going wrong there. Or I'm dumb, it could be either really.

No, you specifically used the terminology React Addict. That is entirely stemming from my thread about you.
